John G. Kerkorian

John G. Kerkorian has wide-ranging civil litigation experience, with emphasis on disputes involving contract breaches, business torts, commercial acquisitions and investments, real estate and mortgages, partnership matters, trade secret misappropriation, and business terminations. In addition, Mr. Kerkorian regularly handles employment-related disputes involving restrictive covenants, harassment, and discrimination.

Mr. Kerkorian previously served as General Counsel for ServiceWare Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SVCW).

Representative Matters

• Obtained dismissal for an Arizona municipality in a case that attacked the city's multimillion-dollar contract to deliver reclaimed water to an Arizona ski resort for snowmaking purposes; the case alleged, among other things, violations of the Arizona Administrative Code and common law nuisance
• Representation of national banking institutions, lenders, and servicers in mortgage-related claims in state and federal court 
• Defense of consumer financial services companies in a variety of cases involving claims under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and state and tribal consumer protection statutes
• Defense of a putative nationwide class action for a large insurance company alleging systematic breach of homeowners' insurance contracts 
• Defense of a technology company against claims by the founder and former president alleging business torts, breach of fiduciary duty, and successor liability
